It has been a busy week with all teachers in the English Department attending the New Junior Cycle English CPD In-Service at Education Centres throughout the country.
The English Department have been busily working for the past year on the new Junior Cycle English. There are two year groups studying the new key skills and learning outcomes of the new course.
The current Third Year students will be the last group to sit the Junior Certificate English Exam.

Our Junior Book Club will commence on December 1st at lunch time in Room 4.
All Junior Students are very welcome to attend the book club.
This month our book is Coraline by Neil Gaiman.

Senior Book Club has been running for over a year now and have read a diverse range of books including:
Girl with a Pearl Earring
The Great Gatsby
Lies of Silence
The Invention of Wings
The Secret lives of Bees
Tuesdays with Morrie has been the most recent book the club have read and discussed.
The group meet once a month in Room 19 and all senior students are welcome.
This month the students and teachers are reading Northern Lights by Philip Pullman.
